Tier 2

Tier 2 is a behavior intervention where students can receive extra support to become positive role models. Students in Tier 2 can be placed into Check in/Check out, Social Academic Instructional Groups, and mentoring programs. Our most popular Tier 2 intervention is Check in/Check out.
The Check In/Check Out program is designed to help students to become positive role models in our building. The program does not change students schedules or require any extra time. The student in CICO will check in with a mentor in the building in the morning. They will be given a progress sheet at the start of the day that is needed for the day. The student will take their progress sheet with them all day and have teachers monitor how he/she is doing at following the school wide expectations – Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Responsible.   The goal is to always receive 80% of the possible points. At the end of the day they will check out with their mentor. Throughout the week you can view your child’s progress as it will be in their school planner.

For a  student may be placed in Tier 2 a student can be referred  it by the Tier 2 team,  a teacher, or  a parent. If you feel it would be beneficial for your child to be in Tier 2 please complete the form at the bottom of this page. If you are unable to print, copies are located in the office.
